Like many Americans, I viewed on my computer President Obama’s speech Tuesday night before a joint session of Congress. As always, the president demonstrated his robust rhetorical skills. Nonetheless, I took issue with some parts of the address, and noticed that other parts really stood out from the rest. In the speech, the president attempted to justify the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, while also outlining additional priorities such as expanding the role of the central government in education and healthcare.
