Becoming a New Contributor

If you are interested in becoming a contributor to our discussion regarding the future of the Republican Party, please read this entire page. The first section details the requirements for becoming a contributor. The second section details open contributor positions; contributors will be expected to regularly post commentary focusing on their area of focus, although they are welcome to post on other areas as well.

Contributor Requirements

  1. You must be a registered voter and between the age of 18 and 29 — i.e., the “youth voter” generation.
  2. You must be able to write 2-3 well-written blog entries every week.
  3. Although not required, it is highly recommended that you are intending to pursue a career related to the Republican Party.
  4. You must have firsthand political experience – be it simply volunteering for a campaign or political organization, serving as an intern or staffer, etc.

Open Contributor Positions

  1. Foreign Affairs and International Policy Analyst – If your specialty is foreign affairs and international policy, we’d love to have your expertise on our team. You will be responsible for regularly assessing the state of the international scene and providing suggestions regarding GOP policy in dealing with foreign affairs. Specifically, you will be charged with using a lens of, “In what way would this impact the Republican Party? In what way would this impact young voters?”
  2. Domestic Affairs and Policy Analyst – You will be responsible for regularly assessing existing and proposing new policy initiatives, and analyzing ongoing domestic affairs. Specifically, you will be charged with using a lens of, “In what way would this impact the Republican Party? In what way would this impact young voters?”
  3. Statistical and Polling Analyst – If you love number crunching, statistics, and regression analysis, then you’re the right person for this job. You will be responsible for regularly looking at the latest polls and statistical data, and analyzing their impact on and importance to the Republican Party and young voters.
  4. Federal Elections and Candidates Analyst – You will be responsible for regularly looking at upcoming and ongoing federal elections. You will also be responsible for assessing these races’ importance and competitiveness, spotlighting crucial races, identifying possible Republican pickup opportunities, and suggesting potential candidates for the House and Senate to help fulfill a 435-district strategy. You will also be expected to relate this analysis to how it impacts young voters.
  5. Statewide/Local Elections and Candidates Analyst – You will be responsible for regularly looking at upcoming and ongoing statewide and local elections, including gubernatorial races, state legislative races, and major mayoral races. You will also be responsible for assessing these races’ importance and competitiveness, spotlighting crucial races, identifying possible Republican pickup opportunities, and suggesting potential candidates to help expand Republican influence. You will also be expected to relate this analysis to how it impacts young voters.
